- Follow your passion is a huge trap.
- Passion is hard to come by and trying to make a career of it will lead to disappointment.

- In 2010 only 45% of Americans were happy at work. Down from 61% in 1987.
- Learn to love whatever it is you do. Aim to acquire mastery, autonomy and relatedness.

- Three other factors also affect job satisfaction: autonomy or control over your day, competence which is feeling you are good at what you do and relatedness or the feeling of connection to people around you. You don’t need passion to achieve these only the willingness to work hard.
